D. Flint Drake was born in Centerville, Iowa and has lived in Iowa his entire life. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1988, with highest honors, majoring in political science and obtaining a minor in business. Mr. Drake thereafter attended the University of Iowa and received his Juris Doctorate in 1991, with distinction.
He is a member of the Dubuque County, Iowa State, and American (Commercial Financial Services and Business Financing Committees) Bar Associations. Mr. Drake is admitted to practice law in Iowa and Wisconsin and practices primarily in the areas of corporate/commercial law and real estate.

Sam Degree was born and raised in Dubuque Iowa, a graduate of Dubuque Senior High. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Iowa State University in 2007, and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa with High Distinction in 2011. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Degree worked as the lead research and editing assistant to Professor Burns H. Weston of the University of Iowa and author David Bollier in their Commons Law Project, a policy endeavor involving international, human rights, and environmental law. Subsequently, Mr. Degree was admitted to the Iowa Bar Association and returned to Dubuque to practice law.

Donna M. Busch
Donna serves the firm as office manager and paralegal. She practices primarily in the areas of estate administration and real estate and serves as a liaison and contact for all clients. Donna has worked in law practices in Dubuque since 1986 and brings a wealth of knowledge and personality to the service of our clients.
